Copper Valley’s Long-Range Transportation Plan

The Copper Valley Development Association (CVDA) is actively working to improve transportation across the region through its Long-Range Transportation Plan (LRTP). This comprehensive plan outlines a vision for enhancing infrastructure, safety, and connectivity throughout the Copper River Basin. It’s designed to support local communities, promote economic development, and ensure reliable access for residents and visitors alike.

The LRTP identifies key priorities such as maintaining and upgrading roads, improving access to remote areas, and addressing safety concerns along major routes. It also highlights the importance of multimodal transportation options, including pedestrian paths, trails, and public transit, to meet the diverse needs of the region’s population and encourage sustainable travel.

Community involvement is a vital part of the planning process. CVDA invites residents, businesses, and stakeholders to review the plan and share their input to help guide future transportation decisions. To learn more and get involved, visit coppervalley.org/transportation/lrtp.
