Help Shape the Future of Transportation in the Copper Valley
We’re excited to announce the first in-person public input meeting for the Copper River Valley Long-Range Transportation Plan (LRTP)—and we want YOU to be there.
📍 McCarthy Lodge
📅 Friday, August 15, 2025
🕔 Doors open at 5:00 PM
🗣️ Presentation begins at 6:00 PM
This meeting is your opportunity to share your thoughts on how transportation can better serve our communities—whether it’s safer highways, improved airport access, more rest areas, or better transportation services for medical care and tourism.
The LRTP is a 20-year roadmap that will guide how we invest in roads, airports, trails, and transit services across the Copper River Census Area. Your input will directly shape the goals, priorities, and projects included in the plan.
Can’t make it to McCarthy?
We’ll be hosting additional meetings in Chitina, Slana, Glennallen, Kenny Lake, and Gakona—dates and times to be announced soon. Keep an eye on our website for updates.
Take the Survey
Whether or not you attend a meeting, you can still make your voice heard by taking our Community Survey. It takes about 10 minutes and covers key transportation topics that affect your daily life.
