CVDA Leads Statewide ARIDAR Infrastructure Effort

March 10, 2026

Copper Valley Development Association is leading the Alaskan Regional Infrastructure and Defense Analysis and Recommendations effort, known as ARIDAR. This statewide initiative brings together infrastructure priorities identified through Alaska’s Regional Development Organizations (“ARDORS”) to help federal and defense partners better understand investment-ready projects that strengthen resilience, access, energy reliability, and long term readiness across Alaska.

Through this effort, CVDA is helping ensure that the Copper River region’s infrastructure needs are visible in statewide and federal conversations. Many of the same improvements that support national defense readiness also support local communities, including affordable reliable power, stronger transportation access, emergency response capacity, communications resilience, and economic stability in remote areas.

ARIDAR builds on regional planning work already underway and helps connect local priorities with broader opportunities for coordination and investment. CVDA is pleased to be part of this collaborative effort to advance practical, regionally-supported infrastructure solutions for Alaska.
